Ever the perfectionists, Converge have released some of the best-sounding hardcore albums of all time. However, in 2016, guitarist-producer Kurt Ballou decided that their 2004 record, You Fail Me, wasn’t up to snuff, so he went back and remixed the whole thing. The Redux of their Jane Doe follow-up is just as fierce, frothy and dynamic as the original, but standouts like “Black Cloud” are given extra oomph that really comes through on wax. Converge's You Fail Me (Redux) on vinyl is deep listening metalcore.
