Even if you’re a hesher who doesn’t normally go for glam-metal, it’s hard to dislike the early Motley Crue material. Their second album, 1983’s Shout at the Devil, is over-the-top and dolled-up hard-rock with just enough metal bite to make you want to rev a motorcycle engine and trash a hotel room. Between “Looks That Kill,” “Too Young to Fall In Love” and its title-track, there’re more than enough gems here that demand to be blasted from a home record player.
